Happiness Is......

Getting into a skirt that I haven't worn in 4 years and even better it's a size 12 jean skirt from Old Navy. Now granted it's still a bit snug so I wouldn't feel totally comfortable wearing it (though Kev says it looks okay) I can button and zip it up! I also got into another skirt that was given to me and a pair of pants that haven't been worn in almost 4 years as well. If I continue, I will have to buy all new clothes when I go home, but till then.....my wardrobe is doubling and I am pulling out clothes that haven't seen the light of day in years. It feels SOOO good! Honestly, my eating hasn't been so great this week, but I think the 3 months of regular working out is finally starting to show.....whooo! I've discovered that I need more than my Walk Away the Pounds and have upgraded to doing Kathy Smith's YOU series. I really like it! It's working my legs really well and pulling in my core.....love handles are starting to slim down!!!
Bricks coming on Saturday and bringing me some "goal clothes" that she's outgrown. Ah, it's good to swap clothes again....we used to do that all the time when she lived here! I am starting to see more and more that I can do this and how good it will feel to get down to where I want to be.
In other news.....Andrew's cutting a top tooth! Nelisha showed me today that it's poking it's way thru. This might have been the cause for that past two weeks of evening fussiness. Tonight he was back to his happy self and SO good. Kev and I were like, "There's our boy!" He polished of a whole salticrax cracker and didn't even gag on it! He's doing so well with solids these days and it's actually getting pretty fun. He's in love with vanilla yogurt!! I cooked a butternut the other night and he's been enjoying that as well. I'll be excited when I don't have to mix bottles anymore........
More to write but I actually have a horrible case of hayfever and am going to hit the sack early. This is the time of year for it as the trees all around our house get these little balls of pollin and they blow off. It's been really windy so as a result they are blowing all over the place. It's so dry......rain, come quickly!!!

Packing away memories, but old memories are coming back!!!

So about every month I go through Andrew's clothes and I put ones that are too small away. I hate it.....I hate packing all these sweet little clothes away, some barely worn. As I pack away I remember certain times things. Inevitably I have my favorites that are almost way too hard to put in that cold box. I'm sure they will come out again one day.....I know I'll have a whole crop of boys! (Bring it on!)

I started out with massive piles of clothes for him, but as he outgrows the piles are becoming small stacks. Nelisha commented the other day how, "Wow, he doesn't have many clothes left!" Never fear though......Grandma Witt and Auntie Valerie to the rescue! Andrew already has clothes waiting for him in America. In fact all I have to pack are a few clothes to get us through the 18 hour plane ride (shiver!) and that's it!! What a blessing huh?

This particular outfit he wore about 4 times! (Wow, pregnancy swelling in the face, I never noticed till after the fact! ha!) What is it about baby clothes that cause warm fuzzy feelings to sweep over us? I remember in my last months of pregnancy I would just touch his clothes and thank God that He was blessing me with Andrew! Guess I am feeling a little nostalgic this week.....I even went back over pictures of when Andrew was just a few weeks old......how tiny he was. Now he's a big ole buster brown! I love it though. He's been so amazingly good these past two days.....he's really enjoying his toys and food!! Today he and I had about a 20 minute "conversation" that consisted of "Ah, Eh, Oh.......tshph (spitting/farting sound)." I don't know what that translated into for him, but he loved every second of it expressing it with his new "deep from within, sounds like he's choking" laugh. :)

In other news......6 more days till my hombre arrives! I can't wait!! It's been almost two years!!

Tonight we're going out with Philip to Sports Bar. I haven't been in a long time and we've all been dying for a cookie crumble. Needless to say, I will be splitting my cookie crumble with Kev as a few bites will push me over the sugar edge since I am not used to the sweet stuff anymore.

I win!!!

I win!!!
Wow.....I guess this is the week for extra blessings! I have few blogs that I catch up with on a daily basis when I have time. A few months back I stumbled upon a site called Mom 4 Life and have been hooked ever since. Heather offers some great and totally practical items for moms, preggos, and babies. The best thing.....every item is "mom created and invented". So if you fall into any one of these categories I highly recommend browsing, or if you need a good baby shower gift. Last week Heather announced a giveaway on her blog and so I thought, "why not sign up for fun". She was giving away a Blush Topless Undershirt.......it's pretty much a tube top that goes around your waist. Once again....practical....if your not pregnant (which I am not, don't get any ideas. :)) you can wear it to add a layering look to tops (like when they strink up and you still want to wear them, this happens to me a lot!), when pregnant you can use it to go over the belly holding pants in place, or giving you extra length on shirts, and when nursing you can use it to go under your shirt so when you lift your shirt you still have coverage under! (Totally could have used this for that time!)
So, I signed up........and I won it!!! :) Go figure, I never really "win" anything. I guess the Lord is just giving me some extra blessings this week!
Nelisha caught "the bug" and so I am home today with Andrew. He's acting a little out of sorts so I hope he is not coming down with it. I just gave him some motrin and now he's snoozing. I'm going to catch up on some emails and things that have been sitting in my inbox since before both conferences. I always feel accomplished after i get them out of the way. I also plan on doing some furlough planning this weekend and emails. We have two months.....that's it!
